Thanks for the reply. However thats not quite what i'm after. I'd like to use another entire row (ie. using something like colspan="x") for the message. This is probably kinda working against how h:dataTable is designed to work. I'll probably just have to stick to a <c:forEach> loop and build the table myself.

Is it possible to create a h:dataTable that has two HTML rows per row of

data? Its just that I want to display a long message that wont fit next to all the other columns, as hoping it might be possible to display it under the row.
