If you are using myFaces 1.1.1, make sure you are preserving the state of the data source across requests (use t:saveState if the data source is in request scope or put it in session scope). If you are using a nightly build between the 1.1.1 release and earlier last week, this is a known issue. Please try checking out and building the latest SVN.
