Since you have used _javascript_ to add options into the selection list, it only knows by the client not the server. You will have to put those added values in a hidden field, then get them after the form submission instead of getting it from the selection list directly. That's one of workaround I used. I don't know whether there is any other way to do it.

I was wondering whether this is the correct bahaviour or I am missing something, because I can't make a simple selection list work :-(
