JSCookmenu javascript/onclick

Hello,

Is there a way to get an "onclick" attribute to a JSCookmenu menu item or is it limited to
JSF navigation/actions? I would like to call a _javascript_ function when the item is clicked but I'm
unable to get it to work :-/

I found an old discussion on this but no solutions
