at the risk of appearing foolish, i pose the following question: since <t:inputCalendar> when specifed as "form" will update the backing bean property specified with the value attribute when a date is selected, i'm assuming that it posts back to the server using some kind of "hidden" form.
is it possible to specifying a particular action method to get called as a result of this post back? i think the fact that i'm asking this question illustrates a blind spot i have about the underpinnings of the mechanism by which faces communicates between the browser and the server.
