Well you are free to disagree. Or even better, you are encouraged to help document the existing limitations or tweak the maven scripts so we can more easily release the source bundles.

Source should either be included or available as a separate distribution. The build process should include building the source distributions. It is clearly not straight forward and obvious how to retrieve the source that matches the binary distributions.
