Hi, Is your PersonBean's getFgDismissed() return value really a String? If it is an int or Integer for example, just leave the Single-Quotes:
#{person.fgDismissed == '1' ? 'Yes' : 'No'} ====>
#{person.fgDismissed == 1 ? 'Yes' : 'No'}
