Hi,
I face the same problems. It is not related to data table only and it probably depends even on the code in surroundings.
For example, commandLink does not work in the same form with inputFileUpload...interesting that commandButton does. Today I encountered problem with data list - it works in one place but not in another. It's really frustrating as it is one of basic element.
