I wasn't involved in the widget itself, all i did was write a JSF wrapper around it. Do those problems only occur with the JSF component, or also with the original widget? And have you tried the 0.3 version of Dojo?

Just I think it doesn't work properly, in the demo if you expand the browser window, it doesn't work, and I have no idea how to fix this. If you change the browser width it seems to be offset and not work correctly, also does not work if you put it at the bottom of the screen. (like a mac osx dock)
