t:popup, t:inputCalendar etc. relative to fixed anchor?

is there any way to set the popup position for t:popup and 
t:inputCalendar relative to a fixed anchor position?

It seems like they always are positioned with an offset relative to the 
event that generated the event, for example, the onMouseOver or onClick 
on some text or link.
