Hi Dudu,

to contribute on a project there are many options for you:
-guide the users on the user list with hints and answere their emails
-writing documentation
-looking a JIRA and providing patches.

You mentioned Trinidad; this is the MyFaces and Tomahawk list.
Information (incl. TODO) for Trinidad you'll find at [1]. (Please
don't rename it from ADFFACES to Trinidad (the wiki page))

The merge is not an easy task; there are lot's of things to check
first. Some components are the same etc. Trinidad components depends
on its FacesBean for getting attributes (for instance). That is faster
than getAttributes().get("foo"); Look at the todo list for "smaller"
tasks.

The process of being a committer is a bit different than just saying "
I am here to help" :)
It's good to have people that make it from a user to a committer. But
there is a way to go. You'll have to provide patches etc first. After
several the *may* be a PMC based discussion about you and then there
may be a vote for adding you as a committer. No guaranty for that. We
(the MyFaces PMC) always feel happy when our users provide patches or
(wiki) documentation. But again, that is no garanty for being
nominated as a committer.

In the past we (the MyFaces PMC) added some committers to early (to my
feelings). Some of us noticed that too and we will keep our eyes on
each contributer before they pass the vote :)

Don't get me wrong, it's not an impossible thing to become
MyFaces/Tomahawk committer, but two or three patches are not enough.

Hi, I want to contribute with Trindad project as commiter, but I never
worked in a great and open source project...
Is already possible, or the Trindad project will be merged with tomahawk?
When I can find information about how to join in the commiter group?

Thanks
