Hi,

just take the outputFormat component and give it a paramValue:

<h:outputFormat value="#{text.personalStartPage_welcome}">
           <f:param value="#{sessionBean.currentPerson.firstname}"/>
</h:outputFormat>

And in the text resource bundle, you can reference to the param value with:

{0} as the first param, {1} for the second and so on..
