MyFaces development is volunteer-driven, as is almost all open-source
development.   The code is made available in the hopes that it will be
helpful to you, but comes with no guarantees that it will be useful.

Bugs are fixed by those who need them fixed.  If fixing the bug is a
high priority for you, then attach a patch to the JIRA issue.
