Dynamically generated command links

I’m having a problem with some commandLinks that I am dynamically generating with a backing bean binding.  It seems that whenever they are generated the action / actionListener associated with them are not invoked when clicked.  Is there something besides instantiating the HtmlCommandLinks and setting the attributes that I need to do to get the actions / actionListeners to work?   Thanks, John
