I don't know. As far as I know, the configuration of auto_scroll is still limited to merely a global toggle.
An alternative approach would be to use AJAX for some of your buttons. Those with ajax would behave like a button with autoscroll (they don't scroll back to top of page). You could then leave the other buttons without AJAX and without auto_scroll.
