I absolutely agree with you in this point. I just talked about the simplest way and have meant myfaces and/or trinidad because he do his work with it. If you're using displaytag or any of the long list of other custom jsp tag libraries (including home-grown tag libs), you're going to be in for a big surprise when moving to facelets. This is the biggest hurdle when talking about migrating from JSP to facelets, and should never be brushed aside as simple config work.
