Fair enough,
Unfortunately, I am using the oracle implementation of ADF faces not the trinidad incubation version... I guess I will have to set myself up some beans with action listeners and get to the required parameters the old fashioned way :o)

This leads me to another question regarding the current stability of the project in incubation.. but I will post this as a seperate topic.

This can easily be done using the <tr:setActionListener> Tag in Trinidad (see http://incubator.apache.org/adffaces/trinidad-api/tagdoc/tr_setActionListener.html for details).
