That's a pretty big jump you labeled me with. I am saying that one should know all of the features of their car before they buy it, not that they should know how to put a modified exhaust on it. In the end it was my fault that I didn't look further into the datascroller component - I am recommending that the original poster do the same as they are determining the best approach for persistence.
