I think this component has a couple hidden purposes. By representing the page with a document component, it is possible to select an alternative renderer for something other than html. This component also renders the CSS for the rich skinning strategy. The component also renderers it's own children. This means that it has greater control over the sequence of renderering. This is used in the partial page renderering. I'm sure there are a couple more purposes for the document component. >Thanks, > >Brad Gary
