I tried the option given by you. If I display the scroller on top of
data table, scroller works.
I have to display the scroller in the bottom of the data table as well.
If I put another scroller after t:dataTable, scroller is coming. ]
However, the top scroller stops working. Also, there is one additional
link shown with all the page no.s together as 123456789.
The code snippet is as shown below.
<h:panelGrid>
// Data scroller on top.
<t:dataScroller ... /> // To display 1/20 of 35 records
etc.
<t:dataScroller ... /> // To display Paginator
<t:dataTable ... />
// If another data scroller is added here, it is not displayed.
</h:panelGrid>
// Data scroller in bottom.
<t:dataScroller ... /> // To display 1/20 of 35 records etc.
<t:dataScroller ... /> // To display Paginator
Please let me know if I'm doing any thing wrong. If you can send sample
code, I would be very thankful.

Yes, you do not need to use t:buffer to get datascrollers working above
the dataTable. The other workaround is to enclose them both in a parent
component which renders its children (e.g. h:panelGroup). In this case,
they will be rendered at the same time and the dataTable can be
pre-referenced by the dataScroller above.
I have tested this solution thoroughly in MyFaces 1.1.3, 1.1.4, and the
current trunk.
