I had the same error after upgrading. Make sure there're no Tobago 1.0.10 jar in your
classpath and war file and try a cleanbuild.
"outcome != null" simply means return a not null string value from your action method.
public String action() {
return "foo";
}

Hi Volker, Was getting this error when replaced Tobago 1.0.10 with Tobago 1.0.11 Snapshot java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: org.apache.myfaces.tobago.ajax.api.AjaxUtils.getAja xComponents(Ljavax/faces/context/FacesContext;)Ljava/util/List; at org.apache.myfaces.tobago.lifecycle.RenderResponseExecutor.execute(Re nderResponseExecutor.java:45) MyFaces api and impl are 1.1.5 v.
