you have two option for getting the Tobago Version.
Only one option is working see:
http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/myfaces/tobago/trunk/example/demo/src/main/java/org/apache/myfaces/tobago/example/demo/ServerInfo.java
the other option should work until
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TOBAGO-417
is fixed.

you can use 'px' values in the rendered attribute.
If the summ of the px values is greater than the component size you a
horizontal scrollbar.
