Right away I noticed that there's no SessionHolder in Spring's
Hibernate 3 support. I see some things further down that may be a
problem, too, but my understanding of the machinery is tenuous at best.
I've found a SessionHolder in my spring-2.0.6 jar:
org.springframework.orm.hibernate3.SessionHolder
What version of Spring are you going to use?
'Sorry -- I typo'd that question! I meant to say there's no
SessionHolder in Spring's Hibernate 2 (Two) support.
But even that is wrong. I found a Hibernate 2 SessionHolder in the
Spring source, but it appears that in spring-2.0.6.jar, only
Hibernate 3 support is present. I found that "ant modulejars" builds
spring-hibernate2.jar (others, too), which has the Hibernate 2 support.
To make a long story short, I seem to have my Orchestra test app
working with Hibernate 2!
Thanks for your help, Mario! I hope to soon be able to add an entry
to the "Companies Using Orchestra" list. (BTW: Possible typo on that
page -- there's a "Using MyFaces" that perhaps should be using "Using
Orchestra".)
