I think I found the culprit:
org.apache.myfaces.trinidad.convert.DateTimeConverter._DEFAULT_TIME_ZONE =
TimeZone.getTimeZone("GMT");
I think we should change that to :
org.apache.myfaces.trinidad.convert.DateTimeConverter._DEFAULT_TIME_ZONE =
TimeZone.getDefault();
That would set the default TimeZone to the server configured time zone.
