concerning html:

-> values of disabled fields don't get submitted
concerning jsf:
although values of read-only fields are submitted they don't get
decoded.
-> you have to look up such values within the RequestParameterMap -
you get
the map via:
FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getExternalContext().getRequestParameterMap()
additional information: trinidad doesn't behave the same way!
