Ugh... IDE's can make things too easy. Apparently I hadn't done a real 'clean' since downloading the latest trinidad jars. I had both the 1.0.5 and 1.0.6 jars under my target dir. Given how easy it is to invoke an ant task from within the IDE, this is pretty embarrassing...
