ok - then i got you wrong. it sounded like you just try to bind a field to a
bean.
generally spoken: all you need to access such information manually is
available via:
FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getExternalContext()
e.g.:
FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getExternalContext().getRequestParameterMap()
to get e.g. the HttpServletRequest object itself via
FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getExternalContext().getRequest() should
be the last approach.
it depends on what you are trying to do.
if these hints don't solve your problem, please provide more details about
your intentions.
