Hi Ted, Take a look at our archetypes at [1]. Using these archetypes with maven, you can generate a basic hello-world jsf 2.0 project and then just change the version of MyFaces core from 2.0.5 to 2.1.0.
Use the following maven command and then select myfaces-archetype-helloworld20 from the options. mvn archetype:generate -DarchetypeCatalog=http://myfaces.apache.org The generated project will run in tomcat 7 without any further configuration!
