SVN is still widely used within companies, including my workplace. In many such environments with long-running projects involving hundreds of SVN modules, the benefits of Git do not outweigh the cost of switching and the additional usage complexity Git brings about. SVN will stay relevant for quite a while. I'd be absolutely against dropping support for it.
