Java 24 has the security manager permanently disabled. Netbeans 25 has adapted it's default setting accordingly, so it can deal with this change in java without issue. For netbeans 24+java 24 you need to change a setting in the netbeans configuration. For java 24 development I would stick to netbeans 25.
