Yes, the process takes some time. Some modules fail to install properly and are discarded subsequently (not crucial for C) On almost all machines this happens in time. On very few machines not. Or not on the first trial. Why on that machine? Some are just lame, cheap Windows laptops. So I had two students. The Windows guy eventually got it installed. But the brand new Mac sticks out. I do not have access to those machines.
