Dit staat in 'Kennismaken met LibreOffice'. (zie onder) De SnelStarter Als LibreOffice op computers met Windows of Linux is geïnstalleerd, kan de SnelStarter ook geherinstalleerd zijn. Als de SnelStarter geactiveerd is, zijn de noodzakelijke bibliotheek- bestanden, die voor LibreOffice vereist zijn, geladen tijdens het opstarten van het systeem en verkort aldus de opstarttijd voor LibreOffice-onderdelen. Computers met een Mac besturingssysteem hebben geen SnelStarter. De SnelStarter activeren Op computers met een Linux of Windows besturingssysteem, zal de standaardinstallatie van LibreOffice de SnelStarter niet automatisch laden. Om deze te activeren: 1) Open LibreOffice. 2) Ga naar Extra > Opties... > LibreOffice > Geheugen op de Menubalk en selecteer LibreOffice laden tijdens systeemstart (voor Windows) of selecteer SnelStarter op systeembalk inschakelen (voor Linux). 3) Start het besturingssysteem opnieuw op om de SnelStarter te laten verschijnen.
