Datancleus HBase datastore does not support transactions yet. Unless one drops JEE transaction support and manually handle rollbacks, this approach is not right at least for now.
For anybody looking for a NoSQL JPA approach, trying MongoDB with eclipse might work. Yet, transaction support needs to be checked. (There are also a few minor limitations like "IN support) Thanks a lot Romain :-)
