That's true, but I think you can also keep the same name and the existing
patch will be overwritten. If that's not the case then there should be a
link for "manage attachment" which you can use to delete a patch you've
posted.

If you do go with the OPENJPA-9999.x.patch approach please indicate whether
each existing patch is a cumulative fix or a successive fix when you attach
it (I prefer cumulatives, other committers might want successive ones). If
nothing else it'll make life easier for a branch maintainer if your fix is
ever merged back to a previous release :-)
