Hi,

I'm happy to hear of your success.

If you would like to help future generations of OpenJPA developers
avoid what you had to experience, would you consider opening a JIRA to
suggest where the documentation could be improved?

I'm willing, but I don't know yet that I understand the details of what
I did wrong or right, so I'm not sure what additional statements could
be made. The point about the mismatch between the transaction-type and the "data-source" settings is a good candidate. I guess I can at least
make that statement.

The main thing is to open an issue and propose where in the documentation *you* would expect the missing information to be. We can then discuss in the context of a "change request" what material should go there.

Thanks,

Craig
