I've added a test point for EPSG:27700 to proj4js and it is accurate to less than a mm. I was encountering a problem in that the proj4 C code codes the datum name as 'OSGB36' whereas spatialreference.org is returning 'OSB36', not sure why. In any case I've added an alias for that in proj4js now.
