Hi Alexandre,

i am just working on an example where i use WFS-T with geoserver as my backend.
I managed to load, change(add, edit, delete) and save the data.
But there are lots of mousetraps:

  1. A WFS-Layer will always reload your data when you zoom or pan==>
any modifications are lost==>use GML-Layer to read
  2. OpenLayers.Format.WFS can be used to create the required
wfs-request, but it its difficult to configure for updates and inserts
  3. Depending on your storage strategy, deletions might be lost.

For more detailed question do not hesitate to ask.

Hi everyone,

Does anybody have a WFS-T example to share ? I would like to see how to use a WFS layer, modify it and post my changes to a WFS server.

  Thanks,
