Hi Simone, actually it would be nice to get familiar with the GeoServer REST interface. I was just wondering whether it'd be "safe" to upload your personal shp-data onto a server residing in the internet. Of course the same problem exists for example with the FeatuteServer, which as I have understood, could also do the job.
Without knowing Geoserver REST, can I use GeoServer security module with layers created by REST? Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I really have no idea of that REST interface. I guess Ivan's suggestion won't help with the "registration" of the datastore. Even if the user gets his/her data into PostGIS table, Geoserver has no idea of its existence. But thanks anyway! - mika - Simone Giannecchini kirjoitti: > Notice that it is possible to upload shapefiles to the geoserver > directly via the experimental REST interface.
