Dear OpenLayers-Community,
this is my first post to this list ... I hope, someone could help me
to find a good start into working with OpenLayers :-)
I'm student assistant at the University of Dortmund in Germany.
We've started a project with some students to create a scavenger hunt
("city rallye") with cultural POIs.
Now the students have to insert their collected data into the map.
I think, OpenLayers is a good solution for this.
I've got basic JS skills and I can set up a simple OpenLayers
environment, but I'm looking for something like this:

That way, the students could easily enter information to the map.
But how can I "grab" the coordinates of the nodes and send it
to a PHP-script (I can script in PHP). Loading data into a
marker-layer isn't a problem for me ... only *saving*.
Could anyone help me please?
