Hi Christopher,

It's a standard Firefox installation and the only add-on is Firebug. I'll have 
a poke around settings in case I've changed something display related.

My app runs fine on a PC (all browsers). I don't think it's anything in my 
code/CSS since I see the problem on OpenStreetMap.org

I use a mac full time, and have since before I started working on OpenLayers.
I have never seen this behavior except in cases where a CSS stylesheet
has defined a border around img elements.

Do you have a custom stylesheet in your Firefox config?
