moral of the story... always use <!DOCTYPE.. and follow the hints it provides. If it is strict, be strict, if it is xhtml, respect xml rules. Not all browsers behave similarly. Some are more strict than the others. Use the web inspector in Safari or Firebug in FF. More pointed to your case -- the fact that Firebug was croaking that there was no such object as jQuery meant that the jQuery library wasn't loading, at least as far as Firefox was concerned. -- Puneet Kishor http://www.punkish.org Carbon Model http://carbonmodel.org Charter Member, Open Source Geospatial Foundation http://www.osgeo.org Science Commons Fellow, http://sciencecommons.org/about/whoweare/kishor Nelson Institute, UW-Madison http://www.nelson.wisc.edu ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Assertions are politics; backing up assertions with evidence is science ======================================================================= Sent from Madison, Wisconsin, United States _______________________________________________ Users mailing list [email protected] http://openlayers.org/mailman/listinfo/users
