Hi list, I would like to represent part of a postgis table as a WMS layer in Geoserver. Is this possible? It seems really basic, until now I have never had to do this, and now that I need to, I am stumped! For example I have a postgis table of point objects. I would like to create: A first geoserver layer of all point objects where type = 1 as blue dots another geoserver layer of all point objects where type = 2 as red dots, another where type = 3 as black dots etc.
As far as I can see it seems to be one layer per postgis table. Is there a better way of doing this? I could make the layers WFS instead if that offers a better solution.
