Thanks for the pointer. However, my x and y coordinates in the source
shapefile are like the extents specified in the mapfile with negative
northings etc. And, like i said i am able to view the map in QGIS as a wms
service and also in mapserver cgi. How can i make the data in this format
viewable through wms in openlayers?
