While debugging the script i noticed that the text layer's div contain no information (textContent & title). If I place text in the two variable, using firebug, it is displayed on the map but at the wrong location, displayed in the upped right corner of the map. The url displayed in firebug for the text file is: http://localhost/test/txtfile.txt while all other calls are made to the server ie. http://localhost:8080 <http://localhost:8080/> /geoserver/wms/....
