There are many ways to solve this and UIMA is in my opinion a good solution when you have more complex analysis needs and/or a huge amount of data. But it also brings its own complexity. It would definitely be useful to have OpenNLP support in Lucene filters. +1 from me to implement that. There will be a couple of use cases for it. Jörn
