This sounds like a known problem with later versions of the mac OS X operating system. If you are not using a Mac please post back with the following information. Name and revision(if known) of the operating that you are using for instance "Windows 7" Ubuntu 12.04. Version of Apache OpenOffice that you are using. This is available from directly from OpenOffice by clicking Help/About OpenOffice. The exact wording of the message you are receiving.
