The Quickstarter has the direct opening to the "writer". Find it in the program of AOO folder and put it in the startup folder. It's supposed to do that automatically at install, but often doesn't.
If it's not in the taskbar, you have to manually put it there. By the way the file is called "Text Document" for Writer.
