Until someone more knowledgeable responds, you do not have to download another program in order to print from Open Office IF you downloaded Open Office from the openoffice.org site. There are not hidden attempts to get money from you.

Only suggestion I have, did you scan your system for Trojans / spywear and ??? else might be out there? That would be a start while you are awaiting others to respond.

I have, up until today, been able to write letters and print them using Open Office. I wrote a letter today and printed it. Some of the letter printed, but not all of it. A message came on the computer screen suggesting that I download a program. There was a cost involved. My question is: Do I now have to pay for a program to print Open Office? If not, what do I need to do to get the document to print which I typed in Open Office?
Thank you,
