That update page is for OxygenOffice Professional <http://sourceforge.net/projects/ooop/>, not Apache OpenOffice. They haven't provided updated files since 2010. The base code appears to be OpenOffice.org 3.2.1.
When I do "Check for Updates" in Apache OpenOffice 4.1.1 (Windows x86), I get "OpenOffice 4.1.1 is up to date" in the Check for Updates dialog. It strikes me that the prudent way to eliminate update-check errors is to upgrade to a stable release of one of the currently-active projects, Apache OpenOffice or LibreOffice. This might require some work to re-acquire extensions the user is already dependent upon. - Dennis -----Original Message----- From: NoOp [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Sunday, September 28, 2014 09:59 To: [email protected] Subject: ooop.sourceforge.net/update/extensions.xml does not exist AOo 4.1.1 AOO411m6(Build:9775) - Rev. 1617669 2014-08-13 09:23 - Linux x86_64 When I check for extention updates I am getting the error: http://ooop.sourceforge.net/update/extensions.xml does not exist. and it appears it's been going on for some time: <http://www.oooforum.org/forum/viewtopic.phtml?t=143617&view=previous> The page shows: <quote> An error has been encountered in accessing this page. 1. This option may be re-enabled by the project by placing a file with the name ".htaccess" with this line: Options +Indexes </quote> and when the extension manager shows an available extention, clicking 'Install' only takes you to the sourceforge extention page where you then can only download - there is no option to actually "Install" the extention: " Thank you for updating! To update your extension: download the latest version for your Operating System, open it in OpenOffice with File → Open and follow the installation wizard. " The button should be changed to "Download". --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [email protected] For additional commands, e-mail: [email protected] --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [email protected] For additional commands, e-mail: [email protected]
