Alt+I+D is shorthand for a keyboard shortcut. The way, using menus, is to click Insert then Fields (on the Insert drop-down) then Date (on the Fields drop-down)
Or Insert then Fields then Time You will get whatever the default formatting for the fields are, and there is no single sequence that gets Data and Time together. The keyboard sequence Alt+I+D is carried out this way. Holding down the Alt key, depress the I key. Then depress the D key. Then release the Alt key. Then press Enter (or click on the name of another field if you want other than the Date selection that is shown). You can still ask for this as a feature. There is no assurance that it will be implemented and, if so, when that will be. -----Original Message----- From: DaveMainwaring [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, October 28, 2014 05:03 To: [email protected] Subject: Re: asking for new feature, date-time insert On Mon, Oct 27, 2014 at 6:34 PM, Kay Schenk <[email protected]> wrote: Alternatively, you can use keyboard shortcuts.
